  KAMI SIDMAN, M.A.ED., J.D. - Counselor - Supervisor - Speaker

My Approach

In therapist-speak, I  primarily utilize Person-Centered and Existential approaches in my work. That means that I believe that building our counseling relationship is the most important part of the work that we do. I will spend time getting to know you, so that we can work together to help you navigate overwhelming emotions and find your voice amidst self-doubt and self-criticism. I aim to help clients explore meaning in their lives and cultivate compassion for self and others.

While I bring therapeutic expertise, I believe that you are the true expert on your life, and my job as a counselor is to help remove any roadblocks keeping you from moving forward. My approach can help you recognize your own strengths and resources, as well as your capacity to adapt, grow, and demonstrate resilience when faced with challenges.

What Happens in A Session?

I  provide sessions for individual adult (18+) clients.
Sessions are 50 minutes, and I currently offer weekly sessions.
From the beginning of our work, we collaborate to identify your goals and obstacles.  Depending on your needs, I will introduce new skills, provide alternative perspectives, and help you to recognize areas of resilience, strength, and resources that you bring.  Topics we discuss can vary each week, and no two sessions will be exactly the same.

Payment

My fees begin at $215 and are billed to credit card at the time of the session.  I am considered an “out-of-network” provider, and your insurance carrier may be able to reimburse a portion of the cost through out-of-network coverage. To understand your coverage benefits, I recommend contacting your insurance provider before we meet with the following billing codes to learn more about the reimbursement policy for out-of-network psychotherapy: 90837 and 90834.
